Welcome to Venture Wisely
Hello — I’m Alex.
I sold my first company, ContentCal, to Adobe by the time I was 31.
I spent three years between London and Silicon Valley during my Adobe earn-out, working on multi-billion-dollar product strategy and seeing what real scale looks like.
Along the way, I also co-founded Kindred, a company with over 200m monthly active users and growing, down to an amazing team.
Now I lead JAAQ — an AI mental health platform built to impact a billion lives.
On paper, that journey ticks a lot of boxes.
But here’s what I’ve learned the hard way:
Success doesn’t guarantee peace.
Wealth isn’t money — it’s control over your time, your mind, your energy.
Venture Wisely is where I explore how to build meaningful companies — and a meaningful life.
It’s where I write the kind of reflections I wish I’d had during the 5 a.m. pitch builds, the lonely fundraising cycles, the management resets, and the moments of stillness in between.
This is for founders, operators, investors, and thinkers who want to go the distance — without burning out, selling out, or losing themselves along the way.
I write about:
Building companies and systems that scale without swallowing you
Navigating ambition while keeping your nervous system intact
Creating space for real thinking and aligned action
Redefining what success means once you’ve “made it” — or want to
Welcome to Venture Wisely.
Look forward to hearing more from your journey Alex 👍🏼. Would love to hear more about JAAQ
